| Six Private Banks get US 16 Million loan from UBL |

United Bank Ltd UBL Dubai has disbursed US Dollar fund of 16 million as term loan to 6 Bangladeshi private banks for their Offshore Banking Units The local banks are Dhaka Bank Ltd Eastern Bank Ltd IFIC Bank Ltd Mutual Trust Bank Ltd Prime Bank Ltd and The City Bank Ltd
Earlier an agreement was signed to this effect in Dhaka last month between UBL and beneficiary banks Senior Executives from UBL and the borrowing banks were present on the occasion Eastern Bank Ltd played the role of coordinator of the deal
United Bank Ltd has expressed its willingness to partner with Bangladeshi Banks in future as well especially in regular international trade transactions |
