Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) launched 'EBL Matribhumi', a full range of services for Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs).
EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar formally launched the product through a press meet at a city hotel Monday.
Among others, EBL Deputy Managing Director Mamoon Mahmood Shah, Head of Marketing Nazeem Anwar Choudhury and Head of Non-resident Business Amir Khan were present on the occasion.
Non-resident Bangladeshis have been offered financially attractive products and ensured of quality services through 'EBL Matribhumi'.
At present four products are being offered under the package and more products including NRB Home Loan to follow soon. The products are EBL Shonchoy, EBL Paribar, EBL Global and EBL NFCD.
'EBL Shonchoy' is a taka savings account for the NRBs. 'EBL Paribar' is a family maintenance account for the NRBs where the relatives can open the account at a minimum charge and enjoy superior banking services from EBL. Both the products offer daily interest on the deposit amount, which will be paid monthly to the accounts.
'EBL Global' is a foreign currency current account where NRBs can save their money in foreign currency. EBL Global comes in with an international debit card which can be used anywhere in the world. 'EBL NFCD' is a foreign currency time deposit account where NRBs can invest their money for a fixed time period.
Eastern Bank launched NRB services in 2005 and at present offering money transfer service through Moneygram International from all over the world. With the launching of 'EBL Matribhumi', the bank looks forward to offering value added services to the most important population of the country. |
