Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun FCS is the Company Secretary of Eastern Bank PLC (EBL). With over 21 years of comprehensive experience in corporate affairs across both local and multinational organizations, he is widely regarded as a seasoned governance professional. Prior to joining EBL, he held a key leadership role at Singer Bangladesh Limited, a renowned multinational company.

A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB), Mr. Mamun currently serves as an elected Council Member. He has previously served as Treasurer of ICSB for the 2022–2025 term and has successfully chaired several pivotal committees, including the Secretarial Practice Assurance Committee, IT Sub-Committee, Dhaka Regional Chapter (DRC) Sub-Committee, and the Corporate Governance (CG) Award Event Management Committee. His contributions toward the advancement of the Chartered Secretary profession are recognized nationwide.

Mr. Mamun holds a business degree from the University of Calcutta, India, and a Master’s in Accounting. He is also enrolled as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and the Dhaka Bar Association, having completed both his LL.B and LL.M. He was a Member of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), the country’s sole platform representing publicly listed companies. Additionally, as philanthropic personality, he serves as the Vice President of the Uttaran Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to social development.

An avid reader and passionate traveler, Mr. Mamun has participated in numerous professional trainings, seminars, workshops, and conventions both at home and abroad. He has also contributed to academia, serving as an adjunct faculty member at ICSB and as a visiting lecturer at private university.
