EBL Citizen Account

EBL CITIZEN is a non-interest bearing FCY account, designed to facilitate local Bangladeshis who are employed in international organization in our country, receiving foreign currency denominated salary. Account can be opened in USD/GBP/Euro. Foreign currency portion of the salary remains in foreign currency and is remittable in abroad and encash in Bangladesh in local Currency.

Eligibility

  • Resident Bangladeshi national working with foreign/international bodies operating in Bangladesh & receiving foreign denominated salary

  • Age 18+

Minimum Initial Deposit

  • No minimum balance requirement

Required Documents

  • Completed and Signed Account Opening Form
  • Recent Passport Size Photo of Applicant
  • Copy of NID/Valid Passport/Birth Certificate
  • Nominee’s Photo ID and Recent Passport Size Photo (attested by Applicant)
  • Certified document(s) for source of income/ service contract/ LOI / salary certificate (relevant document specifying approved foreign currency denominated salary).
  • During Account Opening, Branch may request for any other appropriate document(s).
